Honeymoon Island Photographer | T + T Honeymoon Session in Dunedin, Florida | JLCapo Photography

Tiffany and Terry finally tied the knot after years of love and countless memories made together. Tiffany had initially reached out to me earlier in the year to cover her wedding photography. The ceremony and the reception were both to be held in Northern Florida and due to distance and after she shared their plans to celebrate their well deserved honeymoon in Dunedin, we settled on capturing their honeymoon session in lieu of their engagement session. Tiffany and Terry’s honeymoon session would be my first photo session out in the sands of a Florida beach after years of capturing a range of emotions in various shores of Puerto Rico.

If you’ve never been to Honeymoon Island, you’ll find that it has diverse backgrounds, more than just beach and there is ample parking, if you avoid direct access to the beach. I met Tiffany and Terry in a parking lot in one of the wooded areas, which was just a five minute walk from the beach. Away from the crowds at the beach, we decided to start the session there, under the tropical greenery Florida has to offer. That unmistakable landscape we all recognize.

We walked along the trails in the early evening, while the beach was still full, stopping to pose Tiffany and Terry at every background that called my attention. One of these photos, and also one of my favorite shots, was shot with a vintage lens that has my heart and yet, I rarely use. Can you guess which photo was taken with the vintage manual focus lens?

After the noise of the crowd died down a little, Tiffany, Terry, and I headed to the beach. There were still a few people around and the sun was still brutal despite the incoming sunset, but it made for perfectly sunkissed shots of the newlyweds.

Congratulations to Tiffany and Terry!
